Community Training: Youth Mental Health First Aid (Online & In-Person in Union)

September 16, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 1:30 pm

Free

Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches caring adults how to identify, understand and respond to mental health challenges and crises when they appear in adolescents. It’s great information for parents, teachers, coaches, and literally anyone who knows and cares about young people.

Our friends at Scenic Regional Library are hosting this 4.5-hour YMHFA training at their Union Branch on September 16th. Many of their library staff members will be in attendance, but there are a few open spots left, and they’ve graciously offered to open up the training to other caring adults in Franklin County!

The training will require that participants complete some online prep work by Wednesday, 9/14. Then the trainers from PreventEd will conduct the in-person portion at the library on 9/16 from 9am-1:30pm.  The training, materials, and facility space and a certificate of completion are being provided at no cost to you. We’ll take a short lunch break, so be sure to bring something to nosh on if you’d like to eat something during the break!

HOW TO REGISTER:

BEFORE FRIDAY, 9/9/22 Email: HOPECoalitionFC@gmail.com include your name and the email address you would like MHFA Connect to use as the online platform for your registration.  This email will be how you receive the invitation to enroll, log in, and complete the modules.  It’s also how you’ll eventually receive the certificate of completion.
