Community Training: Safer Together Missouri

FreeMissouri Alliance for Animals is hosting a free virtual training on 10/20/2023. You might wonder why this training applies to child welfare? Perhaps you’ve noticed through your professional or volunteer experiences that there is a frequent connection between the abuse of animals, children, elders, and vulnerable adults. But what can you do to help those in need?
Following successful Safer Together trainings in Saint Louis and Kansas City, Missouri Alliance for Animals is thrilled to be bringing this comprehensive, all-day training (8:30am-3:30pm) to the State of Missouri by going fully virtual.
They will have speakers such as a special victims prosecutor, forensic veterinarian, survivor of domestic violence, a clinician specializing in child trauma, as well as professionals from Children’s Division and Adult Protective Services, and more.
You will walk away with an enhanced knowledge on the connection between violence towards vulnerable individuals, how to identify abuse, and how you can help.
