Community Training: RPC Trauma Training: Caring for Children Who Have Experienced Trauma

Join the Foster and Adoptive Care Coalition as they host the Resource Parent Curriculum (RPC) Trauma Training. This training is four sessions (one evening a week for four weeks). Sessions are held on Tuesday evenings (8/22, 8/29, 9/5 & 9/12) from 6PM to 9PM.  Parenting children who have experienced trauma is different than parenting typically developing children. Children who have experienced the trauma of abuse, neglect, and the loss of their family of origin bring unique challenges to the parenting experience. This training is designed for foster parents and other child welfare professionals to learn more about the issues unique to parenting children who have lived through traumatic experiences.
