Session #4: Compassionate Advocacy: Staying Grounded While Making a Difference
Participants will:
- Develop cultural humility skills to respectfully engage with people across different backgrounds to foster trust and resilience
- Understand the signs of compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma
- Learn strategies to set healthy boundaries and maintain resilience while doing emotionally demanding advocacy work

This series is hosted by the Opioid Response Network, so they will be handling registration. Registrants should receive calendar invites for all four sessions, and the same Zoom link will be used for each session. I will be provided a list of attendees for each session so we are sure that everyone receives their continuing education credits. Each session will be 90 minutes long and include time for questions. All sessions are open for program staff and volunteers to attend.
